O Most Holy Angel of God
By St Gertrude the Great (1256-1302)
O most holy Angel of God,
appointed by God to be my guardian,
I give you thanks for all the benefits
which you have ever bestowed on me
in body and soul.
I praise and glorify you,
that you condescended to assist me,
with such patient fidelity
and to defend me,
against all the assaults of my enemy.
Blessed be the hour
in which you were assigned me
for my guardian,
my defender and my patron.
In acknowledgement and return,
for all your loving ministries to me,
I offer you the infinitely precious
and noble Heart of Jesus
and firmly purpose
to obey you henceforward
and most faithfully, to serve my God.

I have been thinking about Angels all day. I love to do that so not much else is getting done today.Your picture posted of the Angel and the boy is so lovely and surreal. Thinking and praying for you a lot more thn usual. Nice to know our virgin mother has you covered. Take care darling earth-angel. HH

Just think how the angel came at the very instant of our conception and,I believe, filled our little brains as we developed with everything we need to know, will use, and much more that we may use or will never use. I mean God would never give us a brain and not fill it to the brim, now would he? I know mine is filled with much love for all ( and my love for you is so indescribable that
i will never find eloquent words to explain). Not that I try because this love is so unique that just experiencing is awesome. Well it’s about your bedtime. Sweet dreams, Sweetheart. HH

😊 Those goodnight thoughts will do for tonight instead of last – so rich and glorious – without describing you have and it a wondrous beauty.
I must say I had never thought of such a thing – the angels coming at our birth and God filling those still brand new brains! Marvellous and engenders endless reflection.
