I Salute Thee, All ye Holy Angels
and Saints of God
By St Gertrude the Great (1256-1302)
I salute thee through the Heart of Jesus,
O all ye holy Angels and Saints of God.
I rejoice in thy glory
and I give thanks to our Lord
for all the benefits
which He has showered upon thee.
I praise Him and glorify Him
and offer thee, for an increase
of thou joy and honour,
the most gentle heart of Jesus.
Deign, therefore, to pray for me
that I may become, like thee,
according to the Heart of God.
Amen.
