Martyrs of Egypt: Large number of Bishops, Priests, Deacons and lay people banished when the Arian heretics seized the diocese of Alexandria, Egypt in 357 and drove out Saint Athanasius and other orthodox Christians. Many were old, many infirm and many, many died of abuse and privations while on the road and in the wilderness. Very few survived to return to their homes in 361 when Julian the Apostate recalled all Christians and then many of those later died in the persecutions of Julian.
Martyrs of Pentecost in Alexandria: An unspecified number of Christian clerics and lay people who, on Pentecost in 338, were rounded up by order of the Arian bishop and Emperor Constantius and were either killed, or exiled, for refusing to accept Arian teachings. 339 in Alexandria, Egypt.

Interesting post. Thank you for sharing. I was wondering if you have any additional info on Emperor Julian that would not be easy to ascertain through a google search. You see, I am writing Apocalyptical Fiction and would like to use his character as the primary Antichrist and restorer of the Jewish Temple. This time around he’s not going to try to destroy the Church per se but bring her back into the arms of Judaism (along with the Muslims) as one universal monotheistic religion. Any content that could help me to embellish this story would be greatly appreciated. Now in the event that you should drop by my site, keep in mind that all quotes that use an upside down cross after Julian’s name – as in Julian the Apostate⸸ – are entirely fictional. Pax Christi.

Thank you for a most interesting comment!
I am afraid I am unable to assist your search BUT my daughter writes similar fiction and has many ways of researching her subjects. I will send your comment to her and ask if she is perhaps able to point you in a new dirrection.
In Christ 🙏 Ana

All I can say is what I would do, which is read the books in which he is discussed – especially the ancient Roman books and the books of the Saints. Definitely them over modern garbage. I’ve read about him in those, and most are available on the Internet Archive. I can’t remember the names of the authors though.
Also, if you have a good library, you could try there, and check references for more once you find a good book. There isn’t really that much about him that doesn’t come directly from Saints and authors writing at the time, but various anti-Christian groups do fancy him (like the Freemasons).
