The parish of St Brigid of Kildare was my first parish as pastor, in Montreal. Although a French parish, I made it a point to celebrate her feast day with the Irish community as well as with members of Irish-Anglican community and with the neighbouring orthodox community … a real oecumenical gathering, praying together in both French and English. Alas, the parish is now closed due to lack of parishioners (in the midst of the spreading Gay village).

Gosh Fr what a sad result of your good intention.
Is the gay village to blame or the awful avalanche of decay of the life signs of the Church, since the ecumenical VII?
And is the gay village also not a cause and a result, of exactly the same thing?
As Pope Pius V said “All the evils of the world are due to BAD Catholics.”

We must take the world as it is, and unfortunately for us, we live in a very permissive society. Who’s to blame? We all are, I guess.
