Thought for the Day – 11 December – Meditations with Antonio Cardinal Bacci (1881-1971)

Leaving Our Worries in God’s Hands

“We should try to behave with similar serenity.
We should remain close to God and live in complete conformity with His will.
We should perform our duties attentively and whole-heartedly but, we should never worry about them.
As a result, we shall do more and do it more effectively.
Most important of all, we shall be sure that God shall bless our work.

Passionate Catholic. Being a Catholic is a way of life - a love affair "Religion must be like the air we breathe..."- St John Bosco Prayer is what the world needs combined with the example of our lives which testify to the Light of Christ. This site, which is now using the Traditional Calendar, will mainly concentrate on Daily Prayers, Novenas and the Memorials and Feast Days of our friends in Heaven, the Saints who went before us and the great blessings the Church provides in our Catholic Monthly Devotions. This Site is placed under the Patronage of my many favourite Saints and especially, St Paul. "For the Saints are sent to us by God as so many sermons. We do not use them, it is they who move us and lead us, to where we had not expected to go.” Charles Cardinal Journet (1891-1975) This site adheres to the Catholic Church and all her teachings. PLEASE ADVISE ME OF ANY GLARING TYPOS etc - In June 2021 I lost 95% sight in my left eye and sometimes miss errors. Thank you and I pray all those who visit here will be abundantly blessed. Pax et bonum! 🙏

  1. Thanks for all of today’s effort. So interesting is a Pope who brought so much of the Church together but, I guess, fumbled the chance of East-West solidarity. Within we had some St jerome and beautiful quotes. Perfect were the words of our good Cardinal, which I translate as “Let go, let God”.

      1. My VA health care failed me, so I went to a local cardiac care hospital and was properly diagnosed, treated, follow up treatment and tests provided. Result so far is positive, I am weak, still have shortness of breath, bur nowhere close to what I had. Thanks for the prayers that guided me and my health care team. my old mantra still rings true “Hubble may wobble, nut don’t fall down” 😉
