Thought for the Day – 4 March – Meditations with Antonio Cardinal Bacci (1881-1971)

The Imitation of the Saints

“Sacred Scripture says of Jesus, that He “did and taught” (Acts 1:11).
We should reflect on these words.
Very often we come across thinkers, who teach but do nothing.
Sometimes they even act contrary to their own precepts and then their work is futile and harmful!
Many unfortunate young people are the victims of the false ideas and bad example of their teachers.
It was not so with Jesus, nor was it so with the Saints, His faithful followers.

We can learn much from their writings and still more from their example.
For this reason we should read about their lives.
People read so many books and articles which teach them nothing and many others which arouse their lower instincts and smother their high ideals.
A good Christian should read the Lives of the Saints, as well as those books which it is his duty to know.
The highest and most useful school of learning for a sincere Christian, is the reading of the Gospel and The Lives of the Saints.

Passionate Catholic. Being a Catholic is a way of life - a love affair "Religion must be like the air we breathe..."- St John Bosco Prayer is what the world needs combined with the example of our lives which testify to the Light of Christ. This site, which is now using the Traditional Calendar, will mainly concentrate on Daily Prayers, Novenas and the Memorials and Feast Days of our friends in Heaven, the Saints who went before us and the great blessings the Church provides in our Catholic Monthly Devotions. This Site is placed under the Patronage of my many favourite Saints and especially, St Paul. "For the Saints are sent to us by God as so many sermons. We do not use them, it is they who move us and lead us, to where we had not expected to go.” Charles Cardinal Journet (1891-1975) This site adheres to the Catholic Church and all her teachings. 1. Ana, you have an inspiring and beautiful site. I think, however, if you knew the suppressed truth about the V2 “pope saints” you would leave them out.

John Paul II: chiesavia.com/430%20mensile%20ing.pdf (p.2: read “Fr Luigi Villa, S.T.D.”)

Paul VI: catholicendtimetruths.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Chiesa-viva-441-S-en-OK-1.pdf (Communist asset: p.18; Accomplice to murder: p.21; Freemason: p.30; Homosexual: p.55)

We are in the time of the long prophesied Great Apostasy and Eclipse of the Church.

“Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist. The Church will be in eclipse. The world will be in dismay.” (Our Lady of La Salette, 1846)

Venerable Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824) had seen in her visions a “counterfeit church of darkness” occupying Rome at some time in the future — in an era when she also saw the priest facing the people when saying Mass.

Padre Pio “around 1960,” as Fr Gabriel Amorth, later chief exorcist of Rome, recalled, told him, “You know, Gabriele? It is Satan who has been introduced into the bosom of the Church and within a very short time will come to rule a false Church.” (Interview with Fr Amorth by José María Zavala, in The Best Kept Secret of Fatima) Could it have been 1958 and Fr. Amorth was “bound by the secret,” as others were, and was thus being discreet?

In 1963, at the beginning of Paul VI’s reign, Padre Pio embraced Father Luigi Villa, saying to him: “Be brave, now…for the Church has already been invaded by Freemasonry!” and then stated: “Freemasonry has already made it into the slippers of the Pope!”

“Even if Catholics faithful to Tradition are reduced to a handful, they are the ones who are the true Church of Jesus Christ.” (St Athanasius)

“Is it Tradition? Ask no more!” (St John Chrysostom)
