Known as Doctor Universalis (“Universal Doctor”) for the extraordinary depth of his knowledge and learning, Albertus Magnus wrote extensively on numerous subjects. Here are some words of wisdom from a variety of his writings.

“Anyone who receives this Sacrament, 
with the devotion of sincere faith,
will never taste death.”

“The greater and more persistent,
your confidence in God, the more
abundantly you will receive, all that you ask.”

“I have never gone out, to mingle with the world, 
without losing something of myself.”

“The surest and quickest way
to attain perfection, is to strive,
for purity of heart.
Once the obstacles have been removed,
God finds a clear path and does wonders,
both in and through the soul.”
