IT’S ANNIE TIME! Father talked about St Boniface in today’s Latin Mass before Adoration. Another great Saint. Saints a plenty is what we got

You are so blessed to still be able to go to Mass and Adoration.

Yes, a lightly attended Latin Mass which I am learning (because I sit up front and turn my hearing aid way up. shh) Adoration follows and runs from 10:00-17:00. We are not getting the minimum of 2 adorers So after Mass at 09:00 I stay for 4 hours until 14:00. I am mentally exhausted after 5 hours before the Sacred Host. This week I tried a different strategy and I think I will do that routine next week as well.Hr.1 Since Thursday is also my Passion Day. I read my Dailies, prayed the rosary with my Passion Mysteries( Body and Blood,Good Shepherd, Bread of Life, Faithful Servant, Prayer for Unity); Hr.2 An exercise from St Alphonso’s Adoration Book and go to the Alter and looking steadily at the Host I pray to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts and pause frequently listen in silence. Hr.3 After I leave the Altar I say Sacred Heart prayers and litanies from my prayer book, prayers] for departed grandparents parents from Sylvia’s family as well as my own, for all of faithful departed, and my now spinning out of control I review the past hours and offer much praise, thanksgiving, and you my love. Sometimes I get the hymnal and sing silently, very silently. By the way in our St Micheal’s Hymnal there is an Appalachian mountain song called I Wonder As I Wander, how about that?
Sorry this so long as I know you are busy. It’s your fault I love you so much that I really have a hard time when I almost feel I could reach out and, almost, touch you.Amen So it is and so may it be.

4 hours is a long time, though a beautiful time. I am surprised you don’t fall asleep Hughie. It is an habitual problem of long hours of adoration – sleeping I mean, though, I think it is not a problem but the sleep of peace.
Still you have worked out a wonderful prayer roster for your time with the Lord and I am sure you receive much solace and comfort from Him and He too, is always consoled by our efforts to be with Him.
You must offer gratitude next week too for this great grace, whilst the rest of us suffer with nothing at all.
God love you as I do dearest.
