Our Morning Offering – 15 May – My Lady, My Refuge and my Strength

Our Morning Offering – 15 May – “Mary’s Month” – Friday of the Fifth Week of Easter

My Lady, My Refuge and my Strength
By St Germanus (c 634- c 733)
Patriarch of Constantinople

My refuge and my strength
My Lady,
my refuge, life and help,
my armour and my boast,
my hope and my strength,
grant that I may enjoy
the ineffable, inconceivable gifts of your Son,
your God and our God,
in the heavenly kingdom.
For I know surely
that you have power to do as you will,
since you are Mother of the most High.
Therefore, Lady most pure,
I beg you
that I may not be disappointed in my expectations
but may obtain them, O Spouse of God,
who bore Him, who is the expectation of all,
Our lord Jesus Christ,
true God and master of all things,
visible and invisible,
to whom belongs all glory, honour and respect,
now and always and through endless ages.

Passionate Catholic. Being a Catholic is a way of life - a love affair "Religion must be like the air we breathe..."- St John Bosco Prayer is what the world needs combined with the example of our lives which testify to the Light of Christ. This site, which is now using the Traditional Calendar, will mainly concentrate on Daily Prayers, Novenas and the Memorials and Feast Days of our friends in Heaven, the Saints who went before us and the great blessings the Church provides in our Catholic Monthly Devotions. This Site is placed under the Patronage of my many favourite Saints and especially, St Paul. "For the Saints are sent to us by God as so many sermons. We do not use them, it is they who move us and lead us, to where we had not expected to go.” Charles Cardinal Journet (1891-1975) This site adheres to the Catholic Church and all her teachings. PLEASE ADVISE ME OF ANY GLARING TYPOS etc - In June 2021 I lost 95% sight in my left eye and sometimes miss errors. Thank you and I pray all those who visit here will be abundantly blessed. 1. Buenas tardes.

    1. Thank you Maria!
I am so blessed to have you here with me and thankful that you have found love and solace in the prayers and meditations.
I hope you can understand my words – I can understand some of yours – not too well but well enough to let you know that I will be adding your whole family to my prayers every single day. That your husband may find a good job, your daughters draw closer to the Church and to our holy God and you too, that you also may find or be successful in the job you applied for.
I will be praying for you in our daily Rosary too and I would beg you – all your family – with the daughters to set a time every single day and pray the Rosary for all these urgent needs.
This whole situation the world is in is causing such immense suffering – but keep trusting our Lord and keep your eyes fixed on Him!
My love to you and all the family.
Be strong in our Holy Mother and Jesus Christ our Lord – “I will not leave you orphans!”
