My dearest friends
For the past week our Electricity supplier has cut our power for up to 10 hours per day. This made it very difficult to do the posts but I managed. Then, on Sunday morning, at 08.00, without prior warning, our electricity went off and is still off. We managed to get our phones charged elsewhere and so I am able to let you know. So sorry! We need to save up to buy a generator.

A friend of mine who was in hospital for a few days with her sick child said almost the same thing because she saw others worse off.

How much does a generator cost? Is fuel available? Why doesn’t your government subsidize solar energy panels? Harness the wind! From what you told me they are a very disorganized lot. S A has 3 capitals doesn’t it. Sun and wind is plentiful is it not?
Also, pray to St Joseph that I might find a way to Poland to assist with the refugees from Ukraine.

Oh Hughie – there are so many more who need care and just the basics of life! If there is any available funds it will go to them firstly and there will be nothing left for anyone else – especially the original “oppressors.”
